  1. Does "Publicly Financed Elections" mean no fundraising by the parties and equal access to airtime for all candidates.

  2. Political parties have a constitutional right to raise funds and the FCC does not regulate cable, these are seperate issues.
The objective is to make sure anyone running for congress or the presidncy use public funds only. This would encorage people with limited funds to also run for office. How parties determine who runs can be balanced by a candidate securing a percentage of voters in a given state. In no case should a political party financially sponsor a candidate.

  3. So essentially this would do away with a two party system. Like H Ross Perot accomplished in 1992, allowing the Clintons to win with just a plurality, rather than a majority vote. He refused ANY private or public contributions, funding entirely on his own. Steve Frobes repeated this later on. In 2009 New York reelected their mayor, who privately funded, with no private or public contributions, his reelection. Their wealth obstensibly precluded any independent of any chance. Only party backed candidates would seemingly have a chance. If a candidate was disallowed any financial backing our election process would collapse.

  4. Excellent points
Re: H Ross Perot & Bloomberg. Any candidate can accept or reject donations up to the amount permitted by the Federal Election Committee. The caveat is that amount cannot exceed the amount permitted by law. In order to avoid fraud no amount can be spent or hidden by shell entities. These are issues that need to be discussed in detail in order to avoid "gaming" the system. It also means the FEC needs to be reviewed and changed as well. This drive will impact the entire process and will be fought tooth and nail.

The vetting process is working, the voters are smarter than the media gives them credit for. For the most part we are a nation of centrist and not dumb as the main street media likes to portray us.

This is a fundamental change that need to be addressed before we move forward.

    Thanks!

  5. The basic problem is we don't have a two party system. There is no difference between the republicans and the democrats. We vote and throw all the bastards out.....enter the new bastards. New party....new faces....same policies. The elections are rigged so that no matter who wins we lose.

Parties aside, it's time to return to our founding fathers principles. Re-establish the constitution and follow it.
Avoid foreign entanglements, establish a sound currency that's issued by our government, not bankers. Defend our borders and enforce the laws we already have. We've allowed ourselves to become an empire when we should be a republic.

It's been too long since we've tried anyone for treason.

The goal of this site will in the end solve some of the issues you mentioned, not all, but some. We’ve moaned and groaned to no avail and now is the time to focus our negative energy into doing something. Get involved! Sign up and let everyone one you know and they know and so on to get involved too. This effort will take years to get Washington’s attention, but e-mail by e-mail we will get our message through.
